I am voting this guy off the island because I have a hunch he is a LIAR...
If any of these caches are yours, you might check on the authentication of his finds...
Maybe it is just me but finding tiehacker, wrong mountain, and godwin glacier in one day is tough by anybodies standards...here are his latest caches:

I looked at some of those caches. All the logs are the same :"just-a-cache". In the cachers profile under biography it states " i hate book logging". One of those caches requires a float plane to access it. This dude/dudette is quite the active cacher.

That is a good reason to go get one of those caches ;D to look for his signature. No sign no find... one is a virtual he has yet to post a picture.
Maybe he is a helicopter pilot. I was thinking of renting one to do a bunch of MTBoy caches but I am too broke.

Oh I wasn't talking about "just-a-cache" I was talking about Ole's log of Calf Burner...I totally believe that just a cache could pull all of that off...but come on Ole, Calf Burner?

OK I am confused now, because Ole did a few caches within the past few days, but not the long list of caches you originally posted. Let us be aware of what you are actually stating in your posts. It appeared to be "just-a-cache" that conquered all those caches within a few days and that he/she was the party of interest.

So if this person is logging finds without actually visiting caches and signing logs - what happens then?

I was just joking about Ole, Sorry for the confusion ;D I am happy to see ole back out there in the mountains...
Ole, if you do all of my front range caches between now and when the snow comes I bet you will be back into shape...
Then we will document your story and market geocaching as the next great weight loss program. You can be the next "Jared". Riches and fame will be yours ole!
ALL OF THIS AND NO CARDBOARD FLAVORED SUB SANDWICHES!
what do you think?

So if this person is logging finds without actually visiting caches and signing logs - what happens then? If you own the cache, you make a visit and check the log book. If there is no evidence of the individual signing the log, delete said posted log and send an email as to why you deleted said log. I have deleted cacher's logs from my caches that I had active. This also applies to photos which give away too much info concerning the cache. A lot of owners state in the instructions that if there is no signing evidence, the log will be deleted. Once deleted, the cacher's total drops by 1 or 2 or 3 or more.

I did a little searching in the Groundspeak forums on this topic and it appears that this sort of behavior happens a lot more often than I thought.
I mean, why bother participating in Geocaching if you're just cheating all the time? There's no fun in sitting in front of your computer logging finds that you really never found... I guess I just don't understand that sort of mentality.
I didn't check geocaching.com yet, but is there a way to report people who are abusing the "rules"?

There is also the possibility that this cacher found these caches over a period of time while visiting Alaska. Then, they had no way of logging the finds until returning to the homeland. When they did log them, they did not enter the exact "found date" for each cache. They used the default date that geocaching.com shows when you log a find or DNF. However, if this was the case, then all those caches would have been found on the same day. I believe Olie has the correct idea. Visit the cache and see if the name is logged. An alternate would be to send an email to the cacher asking "Did you really find all these 4-5 star caches in four days?".

But only 202 finds. If you were going to cheat... look out Team Alamo or whoever has the most finds. I guess I don't understand and will almost for sure now have to go to Seward and climb a hill or two. A few of his finds are downtown so there is no point if a Seward cacher wants to check on of the easy ones. I almost went to Seward yesterday, now I wish I had.

Who is this guy cheating? Only himself really. I'm sure we can all think of someone who has "replaced a missing cache" they couldn't find only so they could log it to up their numbers by one or how about people who put caches out in groups and then go back out as individuals to log the same cache. Heck, there are even people who cache as a family under one name and then go out and cache separately in order to bump up their numbers. This game means different things to different people. For some it's an excuse to get out and excercise, others it's about the adventures, others it's about the friendships and some it's about all of that. On the other hand there are people who think it's only about the numbers or some type of status it gives them whether in numbers or the difficulty. We win no prizes for what we do here other than the satisfaction we feel in achieving whatever it is that we personally get out of this game. I guess I just feel like if you can't look at yourself and feel good about your finds then that's your problem. Eventually you'll quit playing cuz your not playing for the right reasons anyway. As long as your not going out and planting geojunk that you don't plan on maintaining........

I agree with TR...he's just cheating himself since there's no prize other than self satisfaction in milestones. However...when I get down to SnowRiver I will check to see if he actually logged it and will delete his if he's not logged.
