We are sailing to Alaska this Sunday June 1 and would like to get at least 1 cache in Alaska. Could someone direct me to caches that would be easily accessible from the ship in Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan? Is there an easy bookmark list already created somewhere? Guidance would be appreciated!

GCQ0G8 in skagway is a great place to start. Just look for close caches on the GCQ0G8 geocaching page. I hope that will help - Ole

We are renting a car at Skagway so I'm guessing that will be out best bet for Alaska caching. I noted this one (International Falls & Border - Alaska/BC ) and I'm hoping this one (a Canadian one?) will be on our drive to Carcross? Does anyone know for sure? Forgive me for being so geographically challenged.

Yup...only one road from Skagway to Whitehorse and GCPJH6 and Carcross are on the way. It also looks like there are two caches in Carcross and five others between GCPJH6 and the border. Just click on the "Geocaching.com Google Map" link next to the cache page map for GCPJH6 and zoom out a couple of levels to see them all.
Safe travels!

I have been there a number of times but have yet to grab this cache. As you go past the boarder you'll have a pull off on the right and it looks like it is there in that area. Carcross is awesome, you'll love it. Be sure to have your passport or other documents required to get back into the USA.

And make certain your rental car can be taken into Canada. I might be working off very old information, but I don't think American rentals are allowed into Canada? But then, lots of rented motorhomes make the trip through Canada for the Klondike Relay. Ole?

We would get our rental cars in Whitehorse. I am not sure about Skagway rentals - O
