Im planning to see how many caches I can find in 24 hours this summer.

I have seen a log from a guy that said he found 100+ in 24 hours in England. I have found 12 in one adventure but not sure if I found any more the day before or after. I hope to team up with New Yorker and Eagle north of Seattle and give it a shot in BC this spring. I have gone into cache rich areas out of state but the lack of local knowledge killed my find totals. It only takes a couple dead ends and you run out of caching gas or at least I do. plus, I like to cache in parks not parking lots. Oh that reminds me of a cache in Pittsburgh I DNFed that you had to dig in used hypodermic needles to look for the cache... nasty I am sure it wasn't like that when they placed the cache. I loved caching in Pittsburgh, great parks!
I am going to Lost Wages in a couple weeks and I'll get maybe 10 for the trip. Las Vegas is not a great caching town for a lot of finds but you can get a bunch along the strip.
We'll see, the goal for me is 10 for Vegas in one day.

My best is 18 in a day in New Jersey/New York black dirt country. Teams in the lower 48 have done in excess of 200 caches in 24 hours in cache dense areas such as Nashville, TN, and Dallas, TX. There are several threads on this topic over in the geocaching.com forums. A good angst-free thread on how to plan a power caching day may be found here.

The Leprechauns had a great log and many great ideas for speed caching. I found two of their caches in Pittsburgh. Elves launch a rocket to the moon was an awesome cache. [ Kind of neat to see deer when caching. Their cache The Elves are Easily Bribed www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=90f355ad-6a9c-48fb-8fe1-b0a57b5ba5d8is the one I ran to after 20 hours to grab a green Jeep TB to bring back to Alaska and left a Slat Rat coin. It had real neat falls near the cache - And my first snake: And what happens when you bushwhack there -

Just wondering what the most caches someone has found in 24 hours? Im planning to see how many caches I can find in 24 hours this summer. July 1 2006 Fairbanks: 24 July 22, 2006 Fairbanks/North Pole: 22 Aug 26, 2005 Valdez: 21 Including the infamous "Berry Berry Good Cache". LBK, CavScout, powmia. Only 3 to find it prior to it being moved to a location where it was accessible without having to had prior experience in mountaineering, repelling, and gut determination to find it and log it. If I had broken a leg on that cache my bones might still be there. I doubt anyone would have found me.
