Once he returned to the USA, NorthWes racked up virtual caches, benchmards and earthcaches like they were going out of style and broke through the 1100 cache barrier.
Perhaps even more noteworthy is that NorthWes also found his 500th benchmark during the trip!!!
It's been fun watching your transformation from a White Knight to a NitWit to a Cacher!

Mrs NW & I got to see some terrific places; enjoyed the earthcaches immensely and the 'King Tut Geocaching Tour' of Philadelphia (hosted by their convention & visitors bureau) was a blast! (Got to see the Tut exhibit on its second to last day in America as well...) I'd done my homework in advance so we were able to recover benchmarks smoothly with a minimum of fuss and bother - no delays to our journey. Only DNF'd one mark the whole way... JV6502 - Antietam 23,000 casualties - our nation's highest casualty count in one day's fighting JV1964 - Gettysburg 58,000 casualties in three days of fighting - highest casualty count for a battle in the nation's history (more than died in Viet Nam) GV3889 - Cape Charles Jetty Light A navigation aid (benchmark) at the 6th-largest crater on this planet (under Cape Charles VA on Chesapeake Bay); I did an earthcache here (GCZNQT) - one of seven completed on the trip, which put me over the top for the platinum earthcache master award from the Geological Society of America. Yes, it was a very, very good time - made great by traveling with my best friend of more than 30 years - Mrs NW!

Congratulations NorthWes on 1100 caches and 500 benchmarks! I'm exhausted just thinking about doing that many.
