TQ Mom and Pioneer Woman get a short winter break to Palms Springs CA. They head out around Veteran's Day. Just thought to inform fellow cachers in case they had a TB that needed to go that direction.

What a trip to Palm Springs! It was great to meet Wheeler Dealers, the masters of cache camo. We did quite a few of their caches while there and they truly are creative. The most unique cache would have to be "Lost and Found" by Joshua Tree Bonnie & Clyde. Not sure if any of those that visited recently did this one or not, but it was very creative. I don't want to say too much, but let's just say in order to get credit you had to find the cache at a "Lost and Found" board and then phone them to say you had found the missing item (very unique). The most fun was probably in Joshua Tree National Park. A portion of one of the turn outs for Earthcaches was under construction and could only be reached by pilot car. At the time we wanted to go through to the look out we were the only car and before leaving to head back out we asked the man if he would stop so we could take a quick picture and write any information down at the gravestone. He, I am sure, thought we were a little touched in the head, but graciously stopped for us which allowed us just one more cache. We were also able to attend one event cache over the weekend. Wow, they sure do things up right! They also had a WWFM event that morning, but we were unable to make it for the flash mob. We are already planning another trip, just don't know when.

Glad to hear you had fun. I loved our trip to Palm Springs and would recommend it highly for the variety of caches and terrain.

Wow! What a trip! I know that Scobey, Ladybug Kids, AK Bike'n'Ski, Tundra Tim & myself all think Palm Springs is a worthy cacher's destination... and your record proves it! FTFs, puzzle caches and an event to boot - excellent!
However... just 2 benchmarks??? That road through Joshua Tree is dripping with 'em... Scobey found one from the back seat of the cachemobile on our trip! (I know... not everyone is crazy for the brass markers like I am...)
