Refer to AKDogMom's original link to the cache in question to see an illustrated six-page "IconoGraphic Short Story" about Scobey's misadventures last night. I've created a special icon in honor of his tenacity... "CACHER NEEDS MAINTENANCE" Get well soon, Scobey - we need you!

Scobey is resting at home today. He broke the bone spur off the end of his femur and will be laid up for awhile. I'll post the technical Latin term for "something that hurts a lot and will keep our favorite cacher down for a few weeks" later tonight.
He's currently on good drugs and moving around on crutches.
He's been on the computer at least once today, so you can post your well wishes here.
Start thinking about those TRUE terrain 1 rated caches that can be put out so Scobey can keep on caching!

Scobey get well soon. I hope you have an easy time recovering. Think of it this way. This gives you more time to think up more evil caches ps just had an idea for another cache }

Thanks everyone! If it was going to happen, better here than SoCal and in the company of my good friend. And a good one he is! Let my wife sleep and took me to the hospital where we spent 4 hours. Then he got up 2 1/2 hours later to go to work!!! Official diagnosis - Proximal femur fracture of greater Trochander (That's the greater trochander vs the lesser) . Google that! Not sure til Friday how long I'll be creating Earthcaches and planning the Scobey Challenge series versus finding caches.

the hospital where we spent 4 hours. Yeah, it was hard to leave. Scobey had two nurses, an x-ray tech, and a doctor fawning all over him . The best part of the morning might have been when the crutch technologist stopped by to set up Scobey with his perambulatory devices .

sounds like Scobey will see better days. Loved the stories a "little" mishap can create. I wanted to be jealous of the creativity of the Iconograph story, but it was too good. I find it hard to be jealous of genius.
Hope your recuperation is less eventful than the night at 221 Baker st.

I hope you get to feeling better. It will be a bit to heal, but when you are back you will be better than ever (and will have dreamed up some outrageously evil caches I'm sure). I'm sorry to hear about the accident and am glad you have such good friends who will submit you to the evil nurses do. Are you sure this wasn't Moriarty getting back at Holmes?
Here's to the Master Cacher and a very speedy recovery!!

Traditional Cache Sundial by MtnMike [profile]GCK7JE Came out of this one a little bruised a lizard scared me and I tripped over the curb trying to get away [B)]However, I went back in and got it. Nothings going to stop me from getting the cache...lol....[ ] Great cache Love the sundial....TFTC!!!Leg was a lot worse than thought...Ended up going to the ER to get the gravel scrubbed out and had a torn hamstring to go with it... but it didn't stop me from caching....This is still quite new to me but I'm addicted already. Then there was this time we were going for The Green Tree Cache....loading the 4 wheeler the ramp fell out from underneath me and crushed 3 disks in my back and punctured a hole in my head....first thought was am I bleeding...sure enough punctured my head and blood was every where. New Yorker drove me to the ER and after 5 hours I went right back and loaded the 4wheeler to dew the cache....LOL. I guess there's not enough time to tell....EVERYTHING....we'd be here ALL day.

Now I'm trying to heal a broken ankle...tripped on some birch going into the woods. Hasn't stopped me yet. Scobey and I need to be in the bubble boy suit. I've even had offers to rap me in bubble wrap. Maybe we could invent something while were half way waiting.. We could become millionaires. There's has to be more people out there like us...With all the people in the world we could be set for life...
