Cachers may add their DNF count to their geocaching.com profile page with the following html code:
<div class='stat' style='position:relative; top:-224px; left:475px; height:0px;'> | <img style="vertical-align:sub" src='/images/icons/32/dnf.png' alt='' height="15" width="15" />| 753 DNF Logs</div>
You'll have to update the number manually by editing the bold text in the above snippet of html. You might also have to adjust the top: and left: position tags (shown in red, above) to properly align the new icon, depending on the size of your avatar and number of finds and logged trackables.
To add the icons and text, block copy and paste the html into the "bio" section on your profile page.
You can get your DNF count by Your profile > Quick View > Geocaches > Didn't Find It.
Click the below for full-size image.

Thanks Mike - that is useful - hopefully in the future there will be a way to pull the updated value automatically from the database.

Here is what my code ended up being: (Fixed the issue of code display in this post - 'preview' format did the trick - thanks Mike) <div class='stat' style='position:relative; top:-246px; left:475px; height:0px;'> | <img style="vertical-align:sub" src='/images/icons/32/dnf.png' alt='' height="15" width="15" /> 91 DNF Logs</div> Note ' ' returns a space. Note an increased negative value on the top:-246px; actually raises the whole thing. And finally I added some spaces in the /> 91 DNF Logs</div> to separate 91 from the icon Here is the result - click to enlarge

Hi Seth - I just block copied and pasted the html to the top of the html stack I have on my profile that displays my GSAK stats and badges. I tweaked my original post (OP) to include the spaces to align things better like you did. I'll have to tweak it again when/if I ever reach 10,000 finds, log my 10,000th trackable, and it my 1000 DNF milestone.
The negative number for "top:" is required because "top" for a profile page begins in the "Profile Information" section, not the top of the page itself. Normally, the value is positive to tell the browser how far down from the top to put something. In this case, we are telling the browser to add content in an area on the page that is not normally accessible to us mortals.
Who knows about automatic updates...Moun10bike, who is now a Groundspeak Lackey, was one of the first cachers to add the DNF icon and count to his profile page. People noticed it and asked him if it was a new upcoming feature that was being beta tested. It's not, yet, but the code was easy enough to plagiarize from his profile page.
One problem with the DNF count is that unlike finds, cachers as a group don't consistently log their DNFs, or they delete their DNF after making a find, or change their DNF to a "found it" after making the find. As a result, many folks' DNF count will never be accurate. It's unfortunate because DNFs are an important part of a cache's history, not badges of shame that some cachers think they are.

Hi Mike - I had no problem working with the html on my profile page - it was when I tried to display my code in the forum here that parts did not show up, specifically the & nbsp ; parts, even when encapsulating them within bb 'code' tags- just wondering how you were able to make those display in your forum posts

Seth, I normally work in these forums using the "preview" option as opposed to the "BBCode" option. One can toggle between the two using the tabs at the bottom of the edit box.
Preview is generally wysiwyg, allowing direct copying of hyperlinked text without having to fuss with BBC.
So, maybe I just got lucky...

I had added this to my profile as well once they did away with the former profile style. I think it's a great stat to include! Thanks for cross-posting this here, Mike!

Odd thing about the top & left reference points. My numbers needed to be top:-227px; left:460px in order to align with the rest of the stats.
And I also noticed I haven't done the GSAK stats update in over 14 months. Shows how much I care about "the numbers". Guess I should probably pull a "my finds" PQ and run the stat generator for some fresh profile code.

The top reference point "shouldn't" have to be different if one's avatar is 48 pixels tall (the height Groundspeak now shinks all avatars to). I say shouldn't, because looking at my profile this morning, the alignment is off again in both Explorer and Firefox and I need to move things up one or two pixels.
The fact the left reference point is different is to be expected. It will be different depending on how many digits one has in their find and trackable counts. I have four digits for both those values and your have three, so I have to put my DNF count further to the right than you do to align things properly.
