So for the downtown association market event on the 17th, that Fairbanks is doing...The Association is asking for both basic and advanced demos so we get everyone involved... So we are wondering, advanced? like showing GSAK? or what? This was just suggested today, everything up till now has been about basic demo, designing a cache, signing up on geocaching.com, using a gps, etc... Thanks for any help

Basic... How to start geocaching (signing up), how to look up easy geocaches, how to load coordinates (as a basic member), how to get out to find a geocache, and how to log a geocache.
Advanced... How to build and hide your own geocache, how to do a multi or puzzle cache, how to do EarthCaches, etc.

IMHO cache hiding is NOT a basic skill and new cachers should be encouraged to go out and find their first hundred caches before even considering placing one. There are far too many "bad hides", most of which are placed by new and inexperienced cachers that don't yet understand what makes a "good cache".

Never thought of it that way, thank you for sharing your opinion, and yes I agree... So basic would be, This is a gps, this is geocaching.com, this is how you go find.... Advance would be more of hiding, puzzle cache, how to make a cache, etc...
