You know, we should have a thread about the series of educational events that GeAK has been putting on for the last few months. I think they are turning out brilliantly and look forward to my time in the pulpit come September. Would love to hear some chatter from those who have attended any of these...

I keep missing these. Maybe it will be a bit easier after dog school moves from Thursday nights.

All course materials are downloadable in pdf from the GeocacheAlaska! website. The page also has the dates of the remaining events that are scheduled this year. The calendar in these forums also contains all the FUNdamentals events. It's been fun learning the WebEx technology and applying it so folks from all over Alaska can participate. Our lead served as inspiration for the Abu Dhabi 10 Years! event to tie in troops from Afghanistan and other locations via an online feed. Cachers elsewhere in Alaska who would like to participate should drop Education Committee Chairman Capra Hircus an e-mail through his geocaching profile.

In addition to SSO JOAT's bookmark list (which would allow one to download all the education events in a single pocket query), all GeocacheAlaska! hosted events may also be found by looking up the GeocacheAlaska profile page here. The events and the course materials are located on the GeocacheAlaska! Education webpage here.Every upcoming event in the state is always available on the geocaching.com website here. Finally, Premium Members can set up an instant notification for events here.
