I will be there. There are at least four other local cachers who I have heard are going as well. Look out NW, the trifecta is going to be busy in July. The Lily Pad, The A.P.E. Cache and The Original Stash are on my list as well as the Fremont Troll, A Little Trip Around Queenanne and a few others. Enter The Dragon is nice one as well, but I have been there before. I have been to the Fremont Troll as well, but it is just too cool to not do again.
Looking forward to The Original Stash as I have not cached in Oregon, my old stomping grounds.
Geowoodstock should be a hoot and another whirlwind trip filled with great times and good friends.

Yep, Angelfire25 and I will be there along with at least and half dozen other Alaska cachers. I'm really looking forward to the Original stash and of course the last remaining project a.p.e. cache as well as meeting lots of new, interesting people to swap stories with.

No hotel yet, was planning to stay at my in-laws, but they moved (are moving and won't have a home during that time, they work in AK in the summer and were going to let me use their house while they were gone. I'm waiting to hear from another in-law to see if we can stay there, if not will go the hotel route). Have a car already and starting to get an idea of the area and what looks like fun.

One question at a time. Anyone thinking of going should chime in. Motels and cars are expensive and sharing a car at least cuts individual costs. So we should get together to make sure we are staying close together, sharing cars, etc. Maybe even some renting a motor home??

I'm using up all my travel allocation a bit earlier in the season with a Med Cruise, over Memorial Day into June (caching Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Greece & Turkey). It wasn't too tough to choose between touring the Riveria & Greek Isles in the warm Med sunshine with the love of my life, or GeoWoodstock... really! I've got a great house-sitting team all lined up, so I don't even have to worry about the lawn mowing. With a July 4th weekend, the snow should be off the access to APE. It wasn't when I did it last year in late May... the tunnel was closed, and I had to go cross-country from the gate at the snowed-in parking lot (west-side access point) Trove Rover-style to get APE, postholing in the snow and finding out by trial & error where the big logs were hiding under the white stuff on the slopes. It was a gorgeous find, I tell ya!

Another note on Geowoodstock, there will be several smaller events during the week leading up to the big one on Saturday. Some for meet & greet stuff and others for TB and Geocoin swapping. There is one the Friday prior which will serve as a collection point for trackables being dropping into the event.
If any Alaskan cachers unable to attend wants to send trackables to geowoodstock just let me know, I'd be happy to play courier. We can arrange to meet up or I'll send cords to my private "drop box" some of you have already used these cords to pick up ammo cans and stuff in the past you know the spot I speak of.
Looking forward to snagging a mega event icon as well as meeting lots of interesting people along the way.
