Hello all FTL-AK here.
So Mike Who works with ADA would like to get our help on an event for kids with Diabetes. They do fun things every year last year was H2o oasis. This year he wanted to have the kids go geocaching.
This would be the 22nd or 29th of august. All supplies to my knowledge are being provided by The GPS store! We will maybe set up some non-geocaches so the kids can have more fun or one as a last big prize.
What they need from us is people who know how to Geocache to be the guide for 3 to 7 kids pre geocacher. This seems like a lot of fun and I really want to do it. I will be willing to come and work this event but would like someone to help with all the details I am very busy at work. I will help the day of the event just cant work most of the details.
Mike is very nice and would like to get things set up now. If someone would like to call me at 907-306-9795 i can get you Mikes contact info.

This is now a GeocacheAlaska! Event scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 10 a.m.-3:00 p.m. One doesn't need to be present for the full five hours...there are two hours of set up and three ours of event that volunteers can help with. See the GeocacheAlaska!/ADA Clinic @ Kincaid event listing on the geocaching.com website for more information.

Does anyone have any GPSrs that we can use for the event on Sunday? Through a series of unfortunate events the ADA was not able to procure the GPS units they were going to provide for the kids to use for the event on Sunday. Due to this we are asking if anyone has any that they would be willing to let the kids use during the event.
We will be at Kincaid Park on Sunday at 10:00am setting up for the event (making sure caches are still there, inputting caches into GPSrs if they are needed, and hiding an ADA event cache). The actual ADA event is scheduled to begin at noon. We need people at noon with GPSrs that they are willing to share and able to walk around the park assisting the kids with finding caches. We should be done and wrapped up by 3:00. After the kids are done geocaching our part of their event will be finished.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to come out and help out kids.
See you on Sunday.

I'll be there at 10 with our two 60CX's. I guess I could dig out the rhino 120 but trying to cache with that would be discouraging for anyone that may have otherwise enjoyed caching.
See you there tomorrow!
