Here is the trailer link:[ftp]http://www.gpsthemovie.com/trailer.asp[/ftp]
I sent them a request to see when there is going to be a wide release.
I think they all die but one if it follows a normal horror flick plot ;D

Until I started browsing the site, I expected the link to lead to something you had created, having to do with dead gps's in a coffin, or in a parking lot....
But the movie looks interesting!

I emailed the director and he emailed me right back... Anyway, because it isn't a wide release thing yet they are looking for movie theaters. I gave him the contact information for Bear Tooth so maybe we can get a screening here We'll see, it would be cool I guess. I like slasher movies anyway.

I hope that can happen, it would be a blast! I imagine geocachers would have the place packed if they played the movie. I used to love horror flicks when I was younger, the gorier and scarier the better. I don't know what happened, but I prefer comedies these days. However, this horror flick I'd definitely have to see!
Just let us know if we need to write letters to the Bear Tooth people or the movie guy. Thanks!

I think Bear Tooth will play the movie but I am sure they need to know that we have enough people to make it worth while. I am not sure where to go from here. I have put the director in contact with Bear Tooth. Maybe we could do an event and then go to the movie after??? The movie would not be an official part of the event because it is commercial but would be fun for those of age for the movie. It would not be until at least December because Bear Tooth is booked with movies until then.
What say you?

I heard an ad for a new theater today, The Wildberry Theater. It is part of the Alaska Wildberry, Sourdough Mining Company complex. They have been very good to Geocache Alaska in the past, perhaps they would be interested in running the movie (assuming it is a true movie theater...the ad was for come and watch Monday Night Football). Anyone have any connections with the Wildberry folks?

I have been in contact with Eric Colley, the Director of GPS The Movie a few time over the past several months. If you are interested in seeing this movie in a world premier in a theater here in Anchorage, go visit the web site and express your interest directly to them. They are looking at having the last world premier of the movie in Anchorage and a little more feedback from the geocaching community would go a long way toward getting them to bring this film to Anchorage for a very special presentation. www.gpsthemovie.com/index.asp is the web site and to contact Eric Colley to send encouraging feedback for your desire to be part of a world premier go to www.gpsthemovie.com/contact.asp. Let's send some positive feedback and see if we can get a geocaching based Independent film to bring a very special premier to Anchorage.

Oh wow! I'm so excited to hear about this. My non caching friends are movie buffs and we've talked about this concept before, it would be so cool to see it one the big screen. I'll try to get them to go to the website and support an Anchorage viewing, maybe if we get some muggles wanting to see it they'll be more encoraged to bring it to AK.
