Is anyone familiar with a red ammo can cache in the mountains not far from Flattop? My son was hiking with a friend up near Flattop today, on an adjacent mountain (I'm not familiar with the names), and he and his friend came across a geocache near some rocks, but basically out in the open. It's a red ammo can with a full log, so it has to be old, and he said the name of it started with "Man's....." Is anyone familiar with this cache? I'm guessing it's been archived, because I don't find it on geocaching.com, and I'm curious about this mystery cache.
What we did find was a waypoint on Google Earth called "Man's Survival..." in about the right place. Both boys signed their names on the log before putting the cache back. Does this cache sound familiar to anyone?

I seem to recall a cache that contained adult beverages which was archived in the general area about a year ago. It wasn't active for very long. But this may not be the same thing. I believe oleruns and gergak found it, it was located on O'Malley which is on the North side of Powerline Pass whereas Flattop is on the South side of the valley.

Yes, that's the can. Strange it's still there, it was out in the open.

Ahh, yes, that must be it! As I was reading your replies to my son, he said there was an empty bottle of Jager in the cache. He also said it was on the north side, so I'm sure that's the cache. And I can see it being named The Man's Survival Cache, by a man, of course. It is funny that the cache is still there, out in the open. Matt had told me the log was full, but he just now told me it had been signed by random people, as opposed to there being geocaching handles in the log. It's a muggle's cache in the mountains! Thanks FrostG1ant and Ole for solving the mystery of the red ammo can. ;D
