Hello!
The geocaching games that we have designed on the grounds of the Alaska State Fair are now in place! The exhibits have been entered at Irwin Hall. The Fair Play (GC14AEF) cache description has additional notes and information. I've been asked for some clues, so here are the basics.
Ki-La-La's "Puzzling Caches"
A series of 3 virtual caches where you have to find where on the Alaska State Fair grounds Ki-La-La is and log the coordinates via Geocaching.com to Nate Grumby to verify your finds! A photo of Ki-La-La is now posted! Bonus points for sending the coordinates where we took the identifying photo.
Homunculus's "Knights of Ni Shrubbery Challenge"
Find the "Knight Who Says Ni" display in Irwin hall for the coordinates to the initial stage of a giant multi-cache chase through the various gardens on the fair grounds, leading to a cache large enough for trade items and prizes! Most stages are really obvious and additional clues can be found at the geocaching.com listing for Fair Play (GC14AEF.)
Yami-Tatsu's "I AM NINJA" Caches
A collection of 3 micro-caches hidden in plain sight. Can you retrieve a cache without being seen while tens of thousands of people walk past you? Test your Ninja skills! The coordinates can be found in Ninja-like exhibits in Irwin Hall. None of the exhibits are photographs.
Please log your comments, photos, and other observations online on geocaching.com at the Fair Play (GC14AEF) cache as Notes.
Considering I've never competed with 600,000 muggles before, please be patient if some caches disappear. We have multiples ready for replacement, but we can only replace the micro-caches probably once a day.
Good luck and have fun! I'm normally helping the Turkey Leg booth, but if you ask for Nate Grumby, they'll just look at you funny!
Nate and The Mrs.
