Hey All, What happened to the thread about getting a group together for caching at the Fair? Is anyone getting that together? Does anyone want to? Inquiring minds want to know!

I hope to be out part of the 23rd, all day the 24th and 25th working as a medic (have to see if work drags me back to Anchorage) so if you see a guy in a Orange shirt with medical gear and palming a GPS say hi ;D. Please be careful and watch out for stinging flying pests. Watch out on over eating, and of course, have fun caching . PS: Just becouse we have medics out at the fair, we realy do not want anyone hurt so we can practice our skills. Keep safe.

Is there a cache in the medical cabin/cache too? I'll make a point to look you up. I plan on going out on the 24th, hopefully we can meet up with the group, it will be GeoGrumpy, RdHdStepChild and me at least for the Fair Ground caches. RdHdStepChild is only in town for the weekend passing through. So the entire medic staff has GPSrs now? cool

I do not know if one of the fair caches are by the medical station. AKMICP and myself will be looking for caches when we are not needed to treat people and there are one or two other medics interested that we are trying to get into caching.

I'll be there Sunday the 26th, but from 11:00a to whenever I can walk again I'll be a volunteer beer judge. I can cache before and after. I may be a little sloppy, however, with the 'after'. (I'm kidding. I totally intend to spit everything out. Seriously. )

EEEGad! Get a grip!! Spit out perfectly good beer??? You wouldn't!!! Hrm... that " " smiley didn't connote complete disingenuity as I had hoped. 4 rills: I don't spit out beer. Even BAD beer goes down the hatch until I can figure out who to blame for presenting it to me. Then it's the " " smiley for them.

Is there such stuff as BAD beer? I certain Scobey would say "perish the thought!"

There is such as thing as bad beer. such as lone star or (full body shudder) generic beer (yes that is it's name). The beer stands at the fair do not serve what I would call great beer, but if it is to do taste testing on home brews, give me a designated driver and bring on the beer.

(Bad beer is why Dan and I decided to stay in the NW when we moved from Portland, OR. Alaska may not have all the amenities of home, but at least it has some dang nice beer - and the ability to get your hands on the good stuff made out-of-state.)
