I downloaded a new software version 3.60 to my 60Cx, I've been having problems with the map screen freezing up when I get close to a cache, the feet count down works fine just the map screen freezes. Anyone else having the same problem after updating to V 3.60???

I took a quick look over in the gc.com forums and couldn't find anything about version 3.6. However, there is a long thread with a couple of other links about version 2.6. Ooopsss...here's a post about a 60Cx and version 3.6, but no solution offered or further conversation... Here's another thread... Funny thing...there are all sorts of threads with issues about Garmins, but I didn't see one about Magellans.

That's because the two Magellan users don't know any better... ;D I have both and Maggie sometimes is a lot closer to the cache then my 60CSx. Actually I am GPS poor I have 4 GPSr's. 2 MAggies 315's and an Extrex Vista and the 60CSx Believe me I hate doing the compass strut (turn in circles and click your heels together) to get the compass to work right, on the Garmins and Maggie is always with me when I am frustrated and ready to call it a DNF, lots of times she will point me a little closer. She just eats batteries! With one in one hand and one in the other may look funny but hey what ever gets me to the cache! Does this update also go for the CSx Flyrfn? My issue is the compass just goes blank sometimes while I am walking along the trail and the only way to get it back is to shut it down and turn it back on. Malcore said his does that too but I am not sure if his is a CSx?!

There is also a update (3.60) for the CSx on the Garmin web site.

Yep my gps is a CSx. I have always had the problem with the compass losing its way. But it did it threw out all the software updates so I dought it has anything to do with the latest update. My sofware virson is also 3.60 but i'm not sure if the Cx and CSx use the exact same program. So not sure they work the same.
