As some already know I will be going out caching with Angela Unruh from KTUU tomorrow. She is doing a story about geocaching. I am going to show them a few caches and geocoins and TB's. Does anyone know how many cachers are in the state? I found there are about 750 caches in Anchorage and about 1400 in Alaska. Any other info that would be good to pass along?

If I'd have known it was Angela, I would have volunteered to do it She probably would have had to carry me. Make sure to let her know we cache in and trash out if necessary and that we do at least 1 CITO event each year.

I just remembered I have a yellow CITO bag here. I think I will bring it with me and grab trash on the way out. Good idea.

Well that was fun. Being followed around with a camera when caching is a unique experience. Be on the lookout tonight at 6:00pm on channel 2 news.

OMGcrew - you're awesome! Thanks for stepping up to a last-minute challenge like this... I mean, Friday morning with Angela and a GPS in your hand... did you let her hold the GPS? Seriously - Kudos & Big Thanks to you for jumping on this for us. When we get invited to tell folks about our game/sport it's important to be there for accuracy's sake. I can't wait to see you on TV tonite... Maybe you'll come up with another long-lived misquote a la Ladybugs (the famed 'we're clearly not normal' remark - he was talking about our year-round outdoor land stewardship activities & everyone else thought he was talking about us in general!) (but... the truth runs to the light!)
