Caching Now magazine (an online magazine) has a great GeoTech article in its January 11 2008 edition. The article explains the generational increase in capabilities seen across current and soon-to-market GPS units. The presentation is written to be easily understood, has great graphics, and outlines the incremental benefits found in each generational step. Read it for yourself here: www.cachingnow.com/GeoTech/tabid/2010/Default.aspxYou can go to the magazine site's home page and sign up for your own free subscription as well. Published by Berntsen (makers of benchmarks... the most fabulous benchmarks - even for the Magic Kingdom!), the magazine has excellent articles on various facets of gecoaching and 'real-world' use of the GPS. Article auther Larry Klementsky (of the caching team Klemmer & TeddyBearMama, and part-owner of Sekai Electronics, & a USAF veteran) is based in Southern California. Larry and his wife are well-known in the benchmark forums on geocaching.com, and can hold their own with anyone in the Southwest when it comes to geocaching (from Disneyland to the slot canyons outside of Palm Springs, their cache hides are challenging and really really fun!).
