Has anyone been to Ermie Hill cache or attempted to find it. I left a cav Scout coin there before I went to Iraq last year and I was wondering if anyone picked it up.
Ermie Hill is a great hike and cache hide.

The "Valley of the Giants" cache went missing sometime last summer which means there is no means to get the coordinates for "Ermine Hill."
Yellowdawg has contacted Conspiracy of Ravens, the cache owner, in the hopes of getting some cache maintenance done. If the Ravens don't reply, Yellowdawg is considering replacing the cache with the necessary coordinates that I picked up when I was in the area in June 2005. Unfortunately, thunderstorms chased Tundra Tim, AKBike&Ski, and me off the ridge at close to midnight, so we didn't get to finish the cache series up there.
Watch that cache...it just might get hit in the next week or so before the snow shuts it down for the winter.

Looks like Ermine Hill will be unfound for a while more...read Yellowdawg's account of her bear encounter on the way up the trail here.Fortunately, no harm, no foul on either side, but a bit too exciting nonetheless!

Hmmm... what have the Ravens given Bear to guard Ermine Hill so well? This sounds like a cache best done on snowmachine... when the bears are sleeping.
