How's everyone doing? I just signed up and recently started caching. I heard about geocaching a couple years ago but forgot about it, but recently got re-introduced to it by kevin_alaska. Unfortunately I am very compulsive and obsessive, so I was immediately addicted.
Got off to a decent start and have found 20 so far. And with a little bit of help with relocating from Capra Hircus, I'll have my first one placed soon. I am currently stuck in Prudoe Bay for the next 3 weeks so I can't fix my cache placement and the contents of the cache is on a time crunch.
I'm definitely looking forward to making some new friends and going on some group hunts. I am on Geocaching.com under Red*J, so anyone is more than welcome to send me a friend request.

Welcome! Justin! ;D And there is nothing unfortunate about geocaching. Some addictions are good. I hope to meet you at an event or out on the trail sometime.

Yes, this is definately the healthiest obsession I've had. ;D I would love to come out for the upcoming CITO at Valley Park, but I'm stuck on the slope for another week or so. I have my first GPSr at home still in the package, so I'm definately excited to get back.

Definitely take your GPS to the Slope next trip if you get to hang out on the Deadhorse side of the checkpoints. There are a half-dozen caches or so in "town."
Welcome to the affliction!

Already got 'em! I have the geocaching app on my iphone. But I will definately bring it next time so I can place a cache and be able to get some accurate coordinates. I don't think the iphone would quite cut it for that. And the area certainly needs more than 5 caches. ;D
