The evil one has surfaced in Anchorage. If you have seen psuedotech please call me. The evil Dr. Bleh has done something horrid with him I believe. If you dare to face him, go into the woods tonight (GC11TKH), after dark and face your fears. Good luck and be safe. I can't go in there again, I wish I could but.....

Mr Dr Bleh: Start becoming concerned. I am going to grab a former navy seal buddy. Then with my previous SF techniques and his gnarly hands, we are going to go find you, and then.......................

Ahhh, a friend of mine (Tombearr) pointed this cache out for our trip in July. Considering the logs I may have to make a special trip at the end of February. Imagine his surprise to see my log, found or not.

As having been the last to complete it I would advise waiting till the snow melts, but the ground is still frozen as there is a ton of snow up here now. The markers were extremely hard to find with the snow we had in December, can't imagine the difficulty now. Just my thought. But it is a definate must do on your list if you get a chance. Don't know if there would be enough darkness in July for this cache.

Well I'll agree that the snow sure made it much harder and if we found all the reflectors this one sure took a lot of searching, not like other night caches I've seen and done, but it was a nice challenge even with all the snow and -10 to -15 degrees. Ormonra had spotlight and it was able to light up the night to really help! But the maglights and just walking and lots of searching we finally found the final! Not sure how you guys did it in 45 minutes, after 2 hours we found it and another hour back to the parking lot! One tough night cache hope to tackle another next weekend on Saturday night again.

I'm still trying figure out they did it in 45 minutes myself as it takes 30 to walk it without looking for reflectors. Perhaps the good doctor abducted them, and put them back at the incorrect time and so they only thought it was 45 minutes. Good job to all of you. It is a very difficult night cache. It took 110 man-hours to build and was designed to take 4-4.5 hours to complete. My hats off to all of you who did this in the sub-zero temps. It reminds me of how we came up with the idea for this one, try the Tactical Advantage trifecta and you will get a bit of a clue. Those are three great night caches, I recommend not attempting all three in the same evening as the sun may rise before you could find the final final.

Last night revived my geocaching spirit. Every cache, other than a few recently by new cachers, seems like a deja vu moment. I had fun when I started caching because everything was new. I was excited to go to SoCal hoping to see a bunch of new caches, beeeeep! Wrong!! Same old stuff! As I did this cache last night I started to lament that it was nonsensical and had I been alone I would have been very upset and probably would not have finished. BUT the group I was with all had great attitudes and were very persistent. They were determined to complete the cache and so we pressed on. It was very exciting to spot a marker and unofficially it became a contest to find the next one. You could feel the excitement and energy!!!
No one wanted the game to end although we wondered when we would find the cache. When we found it it was with a GREAT sense of accomplishment because of how long it took and how hard we worked. The temp was low but no one seemed to notice.
So, I'd like to thank the group for what I consider one of the highlights of may caching career! And thanks for the 110 man-hours it took to place this challenging cache.

I know the feeling. I bet 1175 of my finds are solo and by far the best times I have had are with others and groups. The other fun thing about caching is the numbers non-race ;D with Trove Rover and Scobey. Also the mountain tops with LBK and FrostG1ant are at the top of the list.
The runners of this town are another great group and I can't wait for my Achilies to heal so I can go on the group long runs, I do miss those.
If there is a group to do Malcore's Ducky, I'll probably tag along... it's fun to watch the fire snake.
See you on the trails friends all

See you on the trails friends all Well I am hoping to get a group together to get this Malcore Ducky! I figure that night stalker and the one down off Minnesota that I have'nt done would be a little easier to do even if I were alone, based on the log entries anyway. I've done the series of 3 by Builder and Corgi. I've done Lone Post twice as the 1st was a DNF too much snow and then the shovel worked the second go, Did Oles Night cache on snowshoes which was fun and the Centennial one we did at the event was great as a group and lots of fun. If we can get a large group for the Malcore duck cache that would be great. I am available to do it on Saturday night. I will call Omonra and see if he would still like to do it. I know a few others haven't done it and NorthWes mentioned them to me in a recent e-mail. I'd love to try out my new GPS, still hadn't loaded all the stuff last night. Got a new GPS 60CSx for my birthday (it came in late but I got one!) Very excited to use it and be able to walk in the woods and not loose the signal all the time.

Tinman4x Sounds like most would like to go on Saturday evening. Last week we said we were going to get started at 5:30 but we had a couple that showed a little later and we were closer to 5:45 and that was just about the right light to start. We are gaining daylight so let's say for now meet at 5:45 so we can get on snow shoes and be ready to hike to find that lost duck about 6pm! Sounds like the group is getting larger and should be lots of fun. We'll have a well packed trail to come back on if everyone brings/wear snowshoes! So if you don't have snowshoes you should be able to walk on a packed down trail going in too.

Great team work on the cache. You sure had us out there a while, sure glad it didn't take us that long. Figure maybe about 21 manhours for us from start to finish! I'm glad we did it as a group. It sure made it more fun and Thanks for all the work ;D
