Ok, so we've done 2 night caches in Anchorage and ABSOLUTELY LOVE them. I've done a search on geocaching.com and found what looks like 5 more, so a total of 7. Does anyone know if there are more? We did the last 2 in August, and I have to admit it was a little scary...(what was that??? maybe a bear? moose?? ) We will probably wait til winter for the rest, (bears will be sleeping, moose easier to see) but want to get a good idea of what/how many/etc. These are the ones I've bookmarked so far: Blair Witch night cache Good Karma - found (GREAT CACHE!!) Mission: Impossible Night Stalker #1 Operation Arctic Knights Operation Blue Moon - found (AWESOME!!) Tactical Advantage Am I missing any? Thanks for your help, summ01 ;D

Night caches are my favorite too, They eat up a lot of real estate and take time to set up so I doubt there will ever be a huge saturation of night caches.
Just off the top of my head here are a few more you might want to put on your list:
GCTX3A GC11TKH GC1A1J5 GC1CB03
I hope current cache owners update the attribute pages to make searches easier.

One could also search by this icon: I did add the flashlight icon to Operation Arctic Knights. Me feels the need to return to the Golden Heart City and do a maintenance run now that it gets dark up there again. Another Anchorage night cache is: Law of the Jungle by NorthWes (GCY2M4)...you'll want waders for that one or wait for things to freeze up tight.

Thanks so much for the quick feedback. It looks like I've got a lot to do during these upcoming log winter nights. It should be entertaining. I'm not sure how to search by icon, so if you could give me some guidence I would really appreciate it. That would help an more than just night caches. Or do you just mean to look for that icon on the cache pages when I'm looking them over? Thnks again.

1. Take out a Premium Membership (you've done that all ready -- great!). 2. Log on to geocaching.com and click on "My Account." 3. Under "Premium Features" on the right-hand column, click on "Build Pocket Queries." 4. Click "Create a New Query." 5. Build your query. Each of the icons has two or three settings that you toggle through by click on it: unselected, selected, selected, (and sometimes) not active. I recommend NOT checking a day of the week to run until you build the query (you only get to have five queries mailed to you each day) and preview the results on the screen to be sure you got the results you want. You do that by clicking "submit information" and then scrolling to the top of the screen and clicking "preview the search." Once your onscreen results give you what you are looking for, then check the day of the week and resubmit to get the query e-mailed to you for uploading into GSAK or EasyGPS.
Unfortunately, most night caches don't yet have the right attibutes assigned to them by their owners, so searching on the given icons doesn't yield many results, yet. But, give folks some time to catch up!

Law of the Jungle by NorthWes (GCY2M4)... This is my all-time favorite cache find, I have been out there three times and it is much more fun in the summer or fall. The challenge then is to stay dry. Try sneakers if you want a real challenge and a grand night in the dark. October is a good time to go for this one.

Li1gray and Team Meister set up "Torturous Slog" as a night Cache...definately do in a group. It is listed as a "mystery cache", however, it really is a multi...good luck.

Torturous Slog is an epic night cache regardless of the season. Turns out it takes about the same amount of time in the winter and the summer. READ THE LOGS BEFORE ATTEMPTING! It really was a lot of fun when Blazingpathways and I did it. It sounds like the group which did it this month also had an epic caching experience. Great cache to do as a group.
Pern 11 - Who's Watching (GC1CB03) is a fun shorter night cache. It doesn't currently have the night cache attributes showing but I bet that is taken care of soon.
(I guess this post is redundant. That's what I get for not following the GC numbers in the earlier reply BEFORE posting.)

Just e-mail when you want to get together as a group and go after "law of the Jungle" I tried earlier this summer but came to an area where I couldn't go any longer adn found no more reflectors (summer fun in hiking boots was not the way to do this one!) had a blast just the same bug dope and head net recommended!

Gee - with a little advance notice I'd enjoy doing some of these night caches with a group! I'm tied up Wednesday nights thru the winter but otherwise can usually get away. Let me tell you - when I did 'Law of the Jungle' it was a toughie... AeroAK didn't enjoy the rough terrain in there at all (her legs are a bit shorter than mine...). And I'd wait a bit longer before doing the ones over near Campbell Airstrip Road...
