Does anyone know where the page is to have a Jeep TB sent to your house? ( I will live with my sister's in CA. as you know, AK and HI can't play their goofy game. We have Jeeps too. Anyway if you can find the page or the link, let me/us know.

Then again, I don't pay that much attention to the sport anymore.

I saw it on the Geocache bulletin about a month ago. I ordered one before I read that we could not play. I will let you know if they goof up thinking we are in Arkansas and send one. Sorry i do not remember the link.

I have been waiting for these also. Tried to get one in Oregon but failed. We, AK, needs to continue to write Geocaching .com to let them know how much we would enjoy some of them released up here. I was able to see some of the releases by going to Oregons leader board and finding the profile who releases them, I think it was, Jeep4x4.

It's the Alaska Jeep dealers that are preventing us from playing.

Dang, it's going to cost me another trip to the <49 states to grab one and bring it back like last year. I have to catch up with Trove Rover and Scobey anyway ;D

Got to love the Jeeps and only the lower 48 ... but one did make it into the Fairbanks area last week and has now been placed ... way north ... Arctic Circle north ... at a prominent place ... Cache description as follows: "Don't follow the jeep, for you may run out of gas here too!" Great Alaskan Jeep Migration Destination This cache was placed at a prominent Alaskan landmark along the Dalton Highway just south of the Arctic Circle. As ALL Alaskan and Hawaiian cachers know, the Jeep Corporation does not send its annual Jeep TBs to cachers residing in either Alaska or Hawaii so the only Jeeps we see our the ones that migrate north. So, Finger Mountain, Alaska seemed a fitting place to place the first 2007 Red Jeep TB to find its way into the interior of Alaska. This Jeep got to visit some sites along the way after seeing Fairbanks to include the Yukon River, North America's longest river and the lifeblood of the interior of our great state. I would ask that all cachers simply discover this Jeep TB and don't take it back further south as a way of letting the world know that the United States has 50 states, not 48. I would also invite any and all other Jeep TBs regardless of color to come here to to reside in the last great place on earth. If, and only, if, you are an Alaskan cacher needing the icon, please contact me off list and I would be glad to supply the number for your discovery. And before the flames begin, just remember you can't win the Jeep in any case so we might as well provide a place for them to "reside" for Alaskans. Just having some fun ...

There is a Red Jeep in You Gotta Love that View! cache in the Butte. We put it there a couple of weeks ago and I thought for sure someone would have scooped it up by now.

Look what I spotted during a maintenance visit to one of my caches today! I was so surprised to find it in the cache that I left it for someone else to find...!

I scooped up a red jeep travel bug on my travels down south this summer. Of course I wasn't aware that we (Alaskans) were not eligible in the contest at the time... I just sited a new cache up my way, and included the jeep (JP) in it! iio

While caching in NY I discovered a red jeep named Hunts Creek AK. Knowing we can't play I left it behind and made a comment about how wrong it is that Alaska is on the outs and yet they name a jeep from here. Hunts Creek is a tributary to the Chena River.

That is good! The Jeep contest is how I started caching a few years ago. I had found a few caches before that but when the yellow Jeeps started showing up, I had to get every one. I would climb any mountain to get them and when I would place one at a high cache, it would just sit there. I guess I was the only one with the TB bug that bad back then. ;D

While it's true that Alaskans, Hawaiians, and other "foreigners" cannot participate in the contest, we can still move and log RJTBs just like any other TB and earn an icon for our profiles.

Yeah we wanted the icon, that and the fact it was named for an Alaskan locale is why we dicovered it. Just wasn't willing to move it. TQ Mom went after another red jeep at Finger Mt, but came up empty. She couldn't find the cache, probably to high for her short stature and she didn't have any mountain climbing gear. Tundra Tim got it the day before, so cache is there but the jeep is gone.

Skyhawk9SP (visiting from Texas) left TB1NQD "Little Emory River (TN)" Red Jeep Travel Bug in the 'Anchorage - Big Wild Life' cache. I stopped in over lunch today and logged the jeep as a 'discovery' since I've already moved a couple of them.
Great opportunity to bring a TB down to swap and get a Red Jeep running in Anchorage caches before someone snags it and takes it Outside again! (The ladies behind the counter will vigorously encourage you to 'trade even or trade up' so be a good example and bring a TB to trade.)

Somehow, some way .... PedalPushin is now in possession of 6 Red Jeep Travel Bugs ... so think remote, think adventure, as those "Jeeps" have now invaded Alaska again .... think I will use the Toyota to help them find a new home :-)
