Lifted verbatim from the Air Force Assn's Nov 2 2007 Daily Report:
The Story of GPS: The History Channel plans to air a "Modern Marvels" segment on the Global Positioning System. A film crew visited Schriever AFB, Colo., talking with members of the 2nd Space Operations Squadron. SSgt. Don Branum reports that the episode is to air Feb. 14.
Savvy cachers know that the USAF is the national agency charged with operating the GPS satellite constellation. The History Channel's "Modern Marvels" series is well-done, so I'm expecting this episode to 'enlighten' many of us regarding just where those 'signals' are really coming from... I'll be watching the TV Guide for news about this around Feb 2008 - which isn't far away!
