I have looked a long time for a program that can map exact locations of my cache finds. I think I might have in CacheMaps, but it won't run for me. The computer it is on is very new Windows. Any suggestions?

Mapsource is okay, I also use Topo to list my "finds" or "to finds". This works pretty good if you are looking for the best trail heads. Sometimes it's great to save your tracks in areas so you can find the best trails. All this takes a little effort and is not automatic but it is custom and handy.
This if off subject but there are some neat hard copy products out there! You can go to the USGS office at APU and get maps. If you look the little copied paperbacks for gold, fossils each of those have maps in them as well as some trail head information. Remember you can go on to a claim you just can't mine on it.
Mat-Su put out a book with all the trails in Mat-Su in the 80s and they put a lot of work into the book. I don't know if they still sell the book or if it has been updated. I have a copy that I have had for years. Some of the trails are hard to find others are just fine.

I agree that MapSource is great for showing the caches. I save various hunts. When a new caches appears I add it onto a saved map. This shows me what the new cache is close to and refreshes the memory concerning the parking/trailhead etc. Of course, it would be a slow way if you are a "First to Findaholic". Topo is no good for the lower 48 I found. Only the major roads are shown. I will have to buy the actual street program for caching out of Alaska.

If you have a program that won't run in the newer windows, like XP or Vista. You can go to the program you want to run (not a shortcut) and 'right click' then select 'properties', in there you will see a 'compatibility' tab, click on that and there is an option there that will let you run the program in an older compatibility like win 95/98/2000/nt.

I guess I didn't clarify exactly what kind of mapping I needed. I would like to make a map showing all the geocaches I have found.

Mapsource should work fine. You can receive a Pocket Query containing a list of all the caches you have found, just click the button as you know. Import the data into Marsource and you should be good to go! I hope that helps
