I've got a centerpiece rough draft here that doesn't need much in the way of tools at all... Just a bit of twine, a couple of sticks, and a really really heavy big brick... We'll know if you've been practicing with it if you show up with bandaged fingers! (I saw this on a Bilder cache over on the Campbell Tract...)

Well, I finished up a Deadfall simulacrum last night... styled after a Polar Bear Den, with a treasure hidden inside. Looks like 3rd grade art but it'll have to do. My wife made me 'detune' it by removing the mini-mousetrap hidden under the snow. She was not amused by my apparent bloodthirstyness... sigh. I was gonna see who took the bait... (and yes, it was a working mousetrap...) There's a spiffy little centerpiece for Malcore as well, along the 'Polar Bear Theme' but subtitled 'You Light Up My Life'... So... NorthWes, Ladybug Kids & Scobey have centerpieces (as well as the one 'dedicated' to Malcore). I hope other folks are being creative... ours tend to focus on the Polar Bear found on our 2008 Alaska Geocoin. Hey... maybe Karma can find a polar bear head and hang a shoe out its mouth! Now THAT's a Polar Bear Centerpiece I'd like to see!!!

Thanks for a great event LunaBlue. It was great to see everyone again. There were some new faces and some I hadn't seen in a long time. Merry Christmas Alaska, Cache On!
