Can someone run through the steps of removing the needs maintenance attribute again please.
Had it placed on one of my caches for a full log sheet now I can't figure out how to remove it. Used to be able to edit the attributes and remove it, not sure why the ended that.
If the cache is still in place a simple note would suffice to let a CO know the log sheet is full.

Just found a past thread with the answer. Goodness, people need to be not so "needs maintenance" happy. It really is an issue. There's so many caches out there that are still working that have the attribute it's like crying wolf.

They took away the ability to remove it via the edit attributes method. The only way to clear it now is for the owner to post an "owner maintenance" log to the cache.
I agree that there are certain folks who over use the NM log type. When it comes to a full log, a simple mention in their found it log should be good enough to alert the CO. If there is no response to that after a week or two, then an upgrade to NM might be warranted. I personally see NM as something much more serious, such as a broken container and needs the CO to repair or replace the cache. Simple stuff, like full or wet logs can be fixed by the finder and don't necessarily need the CO to come out.
The one that I really hate is the cacher who posts a NM when they couldn't find the cache. You can't possibly know if the cache needs repaired if you couldn't find it. The only appropriate log if you can't find it is a DNF, where you can voice your assumptions that the cache might be missing. Sometimes, they just didn't find cache because it is an evil hide.
Also, Groundspeak now allows the Reviewers to clear the NM attribute of "community caches" where finders have performed maintenance and verified the cache is in good shape, but the CO is no longer active. If you send a note with the GC# of such a cache to Greatland Reviewer, he can clear the NM wrench from the cache.

I agree to your agree Almost seems they should give a good description of what NM means. It may be to late for that and they should get rid of it and come up with a new attribute with a better explanation that isn't so up to interpretation. I do like that the reviewers can now remove it.
