I often go through my cache listings to be sure things are up to date. While editing the listing of a puzzle cache the other day, I found that there is a new set of radio buttons on the cache editing page where you have to indicate if the published coordinates are for a physical container or a virtual location. Of course, I was first advised of this after making a quick edit to the description text and saving the listing only to get a warning that I had to select physical or virtual for the cache. I went up and found the new radio buttons next to the coordinates field. I have since gone through every one of my caches and set the physical/virtual property for every puzzle and multi-cache.
Since I see nothing displayed on the cache page showing the difference between physical and virtual settings, I have to assume that this is an indicator that is being used by the Reviewer software to help determin proximity issues. Is that correct GLR?

Is that correct GLR? Yes, it is. With Challenge Caches being listed as the Mystery/Unknown/Puzzle cache type, it is important for Reviewers to know where the physical container is located when performing proximity checks. The other reason the radio buttons pop up is there are still many "?" and multi-caches out there that don't have final coordinate waypoints yet listed. It is hoped the Cache Owner will supply the requested information to complete the waypoint database.

So, if one checks "virtual" are they them required to enter the final cache hidden coordinates before they can proceed?
What about multis that have a physical container at the start and also physical containers in the middle and at the end? Not sure how this radio button is going to make sure all of those get reported.
I might just have to put out a new cache so I can walk through the new process and see what's changed. It's as good an excuse as any.

So, if one checks "virtual" are they them required to enter the final cache hidden coordinates before they can proceed? The applicable Help Center article may be found here. The posted coordinates for Multi-caches, Mysteries, Letterbox Hybrid and Wherigo must be identified as physical or virtual, using the radio buttons. All other stages must be entered using the waypoint tool. Instructions are provided in the Help Center article.
