We don't have an event scheduled other than Wes' Intro to Geocaching. Kincaid would like another CITO Event and you are free to organize it if you'd like! Gotta hurry though, looks like s**w.

Gc.com now requires events to be posted two weeks ahead of time, be sure to work that into your planning. Links to more information about hosting an event may be found on the GeocacheAlaska Calendar page below the three months of calendars. And by the way, Events can have fun themes...they don't have to be about business, coins or CITO. Valdez just had a Geoker (type of poker run) and Shadius Maximus held the Search for Dr. Bleh Event last winter. Links to most past Alaska Event cache are also on the Calendar page. There is also a link to the worldwide Event Calendar for further inspiration and the Organized Geocaching thread in the gc.com forums also has several ideas.

I checked the GC forums and they had some ideas I liked. One, I will have to think about a little to make it work.

Will it have a broadband webcam hookup for us guys abroad and those deployed can view. It would be much better than connecting telephonically. Just dreaming….

I have an internet camera that can be viewed by anyone that knows where to look for it. That may be a geocaching first! If you or anybody that want to try this I can help in the testing phase. I too have a internet Cam, Linksys Type. But what good it is from this end.

I think a cool event in a small community would be a progressive dinner: Soup in one home, salad in another, main course in another, and then desert. GPS coords would be given for each location.
