Under geocaching law article 14 section 1 it states:
"Those cachers who claim residence in one state but cache primarily in other areas of the country with higher cache density will be considered transient. They will no longer be affiliated with a state."
Sorry Tim. Sorry Ben. We will miss you. Your AK geocaching cards have been revoked!

That is funny Mtboy ;D Guess that makes LBK the number 1 cacher in the state now! but seriously, congrats to Ben for a new benchmark, the big 5K! We may have to send more cachers outside to get more caches, we just don't have enough real estate here in Alaska to get that many caches!

Congratulations, Ben! More than half-way to adding another digit to your find count. Bet you've seen a number of new creative hide styles you can bring back to Alaska to torture us with this summer. Better be careful, though, that the Grand High Pobah (who maintains the cacher "rankings") doesn't "move" you from Alaska to Texas, where most of your finds are. Don't forget to file for your PFD next week! That is, if you're still eligible .

Well, congratulations! Don't listen to all those other guys - they're just envious & besides, they'd leave town to find higher cache densities too if their working zip code was 99693 (Whittier)!

I thought it was "everything is shi**ier in whittier"....except the geocaching and the ex pat mayors.
I guess we will still claim them even though they have left us for so long. Word on the street is that LBK is trying to break my finds count with his DNF count.
That, would be an accomplishment to write home about. I believe if that happens you win....
AN ALL EXPENSE PAID TRIP TO WHITTIER!
Good Luck LBK!

I'm a workin' on it. Just logged DNF #299 tonight at Muskrat. Didn't let it ruin a great moonlight 20K ski on the Coastal Trail. Better get back to caching instead of posting in here, MTBoy, if you don't want my DNF count to overtake you.

Holy Smokes! BenGeo'en made the leap from 5000 to 6000 in a mere thirty days.
His cache count now ranks him 25th amongst Texans, which I assume is his new residence given that's the location of the greatest number (1747) of his finds.
We miss you, Ben!

I wonder if Ben was sitting up in the tower one blustery winter whittier night and thought to himself...is there a place in the world worse than Whittier? That is when he was inspired to go forth and seek it. Alas, he found Texas.
Ben are you ever coming back?

I agree with you guys that he ought to be disowned by Alaska. Anyone who could get 1000 caches is 30 days has to come from a place like Whittier!!! CONGRATS Ben too bad next winter there won't be anymore 1 /1 out there left to find.
