Not sure if this is the best forum to mention this in, but I just wanted to let you all know that "mandatory additional logging requirements" for caches are no more. Please see forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=218388 for more info. If you've got a cache that had to be listed as a "mystery/puzzle cache" due to the addition of a mandatory additional logging requirement please edit the text to make it optional and get in touch with me. I'll be happy to change the listing to "traditional cache" if it's a single stage one so more people will see it in their pocket queries. Just send me an e-mail with the GC? number on the top right of your cache page. Thanks! erik - volunteer cache reviewer for Alaska erik88L-R@geocachingadmin.com

As for denali summiteers cache...don't be lazy, you still have to fulfill my additional logging requirements. Slackers. ;D Sincerely, Mtboy Challenge caches such as the Denali Summiteers Challenge Cache, the South Central Alaska DeLorme, and The Alaska Borough and Census Area Challenge are exempt from this change. The specific new language about Challenge caches is: "Challenge caches incorporate special logging requirements and are listed as Mystery/Puzzle caches. Typically they require the seeker to have previously met a reasonable geocaching-related qualification (Waymarking and Wherigo qualify too, of course) such as first finding a cache in every county in your state. If you are thinking of creating such a cache, please include a note to the reviewer demonstrating either that you have met the challenge yourself, or that a substantial number of other geocachers would be able to do so."Also, "EarthCaches, remaining virtuals and remaining webcam caches are not affected by this guideline change. They do not have a physical container. They will continue to require some form of verification."

As for denali summiteers cache...don't be lazy, you still have to fulfill my additional logging requirements. Slackers. ;D Sincerely, Mtboy I like the new logging requirement. Here in Alaska only a few folks will be logging any of the 3 caches LBK mentioned but at least the Mtboy cache is reasonably doable. I am sure there are not going to be too many folks meet the other challenges that BP has listed but the Mtboy cache has been found and I for one will at least attempt that one. Like I told him last night sure wish he would count my Mt Fuji climb! Not to worry. "Slacker, for now" Li1gray

I like the new logging requirement. You would, after all the grief you got back in Minnesota over the blonde wig ALR! Note that one can still request/suggest an additional logging requirement, but it can't be required in order to log the cache.
