I've been hearing a lot about beardo caches lately. "have you seen this one?" "Did you find that one?"
found a few myself, but there's still a number of them I need to make my mark on.
Still, I must say a favorite of mine, albeit I never minded swamp caches, is Halloween hoopla. Like I said, I don't mind swamps, so that made it OK in my book, but it also has a cool container that surprises you when you find it.
And I love some of the logs from the finders: Karma!, "This cache could probably scare the crap out of people if they weren't cachers". I'm afraid that may say a lot about us. meljo, "It was like a wonderland until I saw IT" Two little letters, I & T now mean so much more. Nothwes, "The big dogs did not like the cache-barked at it when we found it". Ya, that's because they new better. capsheldon, "The container made me think-what did fuzzybelly look like when he was a baby". OK, that wasn't funny at all, and I'm going to remember that cappy.
So which one is your favorite. Why. And which should I go after next.

I don't think I have had the pleasure of finding a Beardo cache....he has to find 'the beginning' first!

Ray why...just why lol and Fuzzy thanks for thinking of me! I really like the hockey_chicks log on coord.info/GC5GCJF ... absolutely hilarious FTF!!! Woohoo. But wait, let's rewind to last night. Cache published just before 7. I am sitting in a meeting, so shrug and figure I won't get to try for the FTF on this one. Out of the meeting and headed home. I do a drive by, but there is a group of muggles sitting in a car looking like they will be there awhile. Get home and have dinner, check again and still no one has claimed the FTF on this one. Hmmm. Still pondering. Just after 9 with no logs and I tell ak lady puffin to grab her stuff, we are headed out to try. Having noted from the cache page, I grabbed possible TOTT's from the kitchen and from the garage and we headed out. Get to GZ and find the container. Correct tool. Check. Use correct tool. Check. Blow the top off the container and lose the log. Check. Wait... Crap. Blew the top off the container (this should be removed, by the way). Texted the CO to see if the log was in the top. Nope. Ok. Found the cap. Used the tool again. Nothing. Hmmm. Another text to the CO. Confirms that the actual log was blown out when the top blew off. Now the search for the container. Found half of it. The other half is still lost. Call the CO. He says to bring it to him and he will have a replacement ready. Ok get there and he does not have the parts. Sigh. I go back to look again cause you have to sign the log to get credit... Still can't find it. Tiny black container in the dark, on the ground with a bunch of leaves. Call the CO. Take back the half that I did find and he makes me a deal. Cause of the issue of the cap making this one turn into a story worthy ordeal rather than a quick cache. He will wait to activate again so I may, finally, get the FTF. Fast forward to today... Off work and at the cache. Get there. Set it all up, get the cache to pop out and, wait for it... it bounces off my head. Again searching in the leaves... Ah ha. The smiley is mine, mine, finally mine.. . Lol. Thanks for the memories created getting this one. Great cache!!
