Fellow Geocachers and Members of GeocacheAlaska! The December edition of our newsletter was just published. It is available for download from our Newsletter Archive. In it you will find 9 action-packed pages of news and information about geocaching in The Great Land. This month we have the results of our Board of Directors elections, the winners of our annual photo contest, and our Greatland Reviewer has some very important information about “coordinate check” cache submissions. We have also announced the winners of our drawing of four pathtag sets from amongst the members who completed our Member Survey last week. The Alaskan Cacher’s Caching Achievements Top Ten list this month goes to the Alaskan caches that rate at as the Top Favorites using the Lower bound of Wilson Score method. (There’s a link from the article to a wiki page that explains exactly what that is.) Our president has a wonderful Caching Travelogue called “How to Enjoy a Hurricane…” from his very recent caching vacation. As always, all editions of our newsletter are available on our website at www.geocachealaska.org/newsletters.htmThank you to all the members who contributed content to this month’s newsletter and to our Editor down in Homer, the_Firefly, for making it pretty for us. You may send your feedback as well as just about any geocaching-related content to be placed in future editions by emailing it to editor@geocachealaska.org. Anyone is welcome to submit content for your newsletter, so consider writing up a couple paragraphs about a recent caching adventure along with a photo or two or maybe you have some neat tips and tricks to share. Whatever it is, write it up and send it in. We look forward to hearing from you! Warmest Regards, GeocacheAlaska! Inc. Board of Directors
