As geocaching in certain many areas of the world has reached a level of saturation, Groundspeak has decided that the number of caches should now remain constant. New cache submissions for placements will now be placed in a queue until an existing cache gets archived. If the next cache in the queue has any guideline issue or question, that question will be deferred to the Cache Owner and the next cache in the queue will be reviewed. Once the issue for the original cache is settled, the cache will return to the queue in the back of the line. Requests for unarchival will also be placed at the end of the queue.
So, to make certain your cache doesn't lose it's place in the queue, please be doubly certain that your cache(s) meet all the Guidelines to avoid any publishing delays.

Clearly an unintended consequence of the introduction of the T.I.N.Y. cache containers. I knew that was going to go south in a hurry. At least I have 100 new T.I.N.Y. cache placement listings already in que, just waiting for my backorder to be full-filled. That should lock me into the next 100 spots!

OMG!!! What hath Groundspeak spawned? The Peninsula is going to change from being the "Puzzle Capital of Alaska" to "The T.I.N.Y. Cache Capital of Alaska." Or, maybe it will become the "T.I.N.Y. Puzzle Capital of the World." I can hardly wait to be rewarded for solving an SSO JOAT puzzle prior to the Kenai Picnic and be rewarded with the opportunity to search for one of these little gems. I wonder when Greatland Reviewer will do a statewide sweep and archive some caches so some new caches can be published.

If you think about it, the t.i.n.y. cache is the perfect answer to "what is a 4.5 difficulty?" traditional cache.

I have to wonder, was that Groundspeak's way of pushing back at how ridiculously small some cache placements are lately? Nanos are nice in high traffic areas, but a bison in a spruce tree is kinda ridiculous on a forest trail...
I wonder why Alaska's caches didn't get capitated at 5000 total? Hmmm?
