GPS recommendations

ARGH! the batteries in my Earthmate PN 60 leaked and destrpyed the circuit board. i was not thinking at the time and threw them out instead of sending them in for warranty. ARGH!

Ok, enough ranting. I am looking for recommendations for a new GPS unit. Would like to have street maps and topo info. Loved the PN 60, kids have a etrex venture, but not enough street maps on there.

If you used and liked the PN60, might as well stick with that. Good unit.

If you want to go Garmin, stay away from the eTrex series. They are cheap for a reason. I'd stick with the higher end stuff such as the 62. You'll find that if you want both street maps and topographic maps, you'll be buying a separate map product to add.

I hate Garmin but others are hard to use compared to Garmin.
