This is a multi stage cache with stage 1 in Alaska and stage 2 in Ohio. it requires a partner in the corresponding state to complete. I mention it because it doesn't show up on Alaska maps since the cache page is an Ohio cache. If anyone is interested in doing this cache, post a note on the cache page to get an Ohio partner, or partner up with one of the Ohio cachers looking to complete it. Completing the cache with your partner will get you an Ohio souvenir on your profile.

I've done this cache with a cacher in Ohio, who has now become a caching friend.
SSO JOAT has just teamed up with a cacher way down there and completed the mission.
I really enjoy watching this cache, too.

I'm currently in the process of partnering up for this cache. While looking at a cache listing on the flats I came across a reference to this cache in the logs. Is there any way of filtering a search of listings to identify similiar multi-state-multi-caches? Or maybe someone knows of more caches like this? We have recently done the North To Alaska, GC20A77, and enjoyed it very much. There seems to be several Oregon cachers waiting for AK partners!

The way I do these caches is that I'm happy to supply the information to anyone who contacts me so they can find the cache in their home state and I'll seek the cache in Alaska. However, I won't log the non-Alaskan cache myself with anything other than a note until I've actually visited the cache and signed the log book. For instance, I teamed up with an Oregon cacher on North To Alaska, GC20A77. However, I didn't log the Oregon cache because the geocaching.com website would have given me credit for caching in Oregon even though I'd never been there. I have since cached in Oregon, but forgot to take the coordinates for the Oregon cache, so I still haven't logged the Oregon cache.
Do folks really want to earn a souvenir for a state they actually haven't physically found a cache and left footprints in?

It probably means I'm visiting my dad in Michigan again!
