Do you have any favorite pictures you took this year while geocaching? Ones of your favorite caches you found? Your caching buddies? Great sights you saw while caching? The strangest thing you saw? Do any traveling and visited new places? GeocacheAlaska! is accepting photographs through October 31, 2012, for the 2012 Geofest Slide Show. Photos may be taken anywhere in the world that GeocacheAlaska! members visited. This year I have the idea for a new theme for the slide show. Along with the winning photographs from the Calendar Contest, and the honorable mentions, I think we should celebrate all the places we travel. One way to do this is for members to submit photographs of WELCOME TO . . . signs. Any Welcome to sign is fair game. States, Cities, diversions, whatever. See a sign that says Welcome To on it, take a photo and submit it. Better yet, get someone , preferably a geocacher, to pose for a photo with it. Or be in it yourself. The more photographs with GeocacheAlaska! members in them, the more fun the slide show will be for all. Let's try to get as many members up on the screen as possible this year. Note that all photos submitted to the 2013 Calendar Photo Contest are automattically qued up for inclusion in the Slide Show. Please do not submit those photos twice. To get your photo included in the Slide Show, please submit a high resolution copy via an email to PhotoContest@GeocacheAlaska.org. Please place the tag [SLIDE SHOW] in the subject line of your message. In the body of the mail, please include the name of the photographer, where the photograph was taken and who is in it. If it is of a specific cache please include the cache name and GC number. If you also wish to submit this photograph to the 2013 Calendar Contest, please visit this thread for details on how to submit it. Again, all submissions to the Calendar Contest will automatically be rolled into the Slide Show. By submitting your photo you grant GeocacheAlaska! Inc. the right to use the image in the Slide Show. It might also appear in the newsletter and on the GeocacheAlaska! website. If used in the Newsletter or on the Website photo credit will be given to the photographer.

And thanks to everyone who has submitted photos. I'm a little behind in emails but catching up! It's the pressure of trying to stay ahead of that cache finding machine blazingpathways. And mostly the rest of my life.

Only two more months for photos to be sent in. I hope it's not going to be a fuzzybelly calander for 2013. Believe me, that wont be good

I wouldn't worry too much. Historically, most of the photo entries are submitted during the last 24 hours of the contest.
