I uploaded a pdf file of the packing list I use for domestic and international travel. I usually have vacation and work travel combined, so you will find some things to be extraneous. However, it all fits in an Eagle Creek Switchback Max 25 system with room to spare inside its 6000 cubic inches. The Eagle Creek system is by far the most expensive piece of luggage I've ever purchased (and that includes buying it at REI during a save 30% on one item sale), but I needed something that would work for me during a twelve-day trip through Europe when I had one hand in a cast. The suit case fits easily into the overhead bin of large and small jetcraft and the backpack slides under the seat with room to spare. Attachments:

Thanks for the list, LBK! I tend to pack lightly and bring quick-dry clothing. REI has travel laundry detergent that comes in paper-like format. A couple leafs, approx 1" by 2", of the detergent and I'm able to do (hand-wash) laundry in a sink or ziplock bag.
For the road trippers, don't forget the car chargers for the phone. I even found a rechargeable battery car charger set so I can always have fresh batteries.
