Does anyone want to adopt the Sun, Earth and Pluto? They get a lot of visits but require a bit of work to maintain. I just don't get downtown a lot anymore and Pluto is just part of the series. If I don't hear from anyone, I'll take them down next Saturday. Thanks a million - Ole

Hi Ole: I pass through downtown almost daily and could take on the Sun and the Earth since I have a few of the right containers. I'll put new log papers thre for you either this evening or tomorrow and let you know so you can kill the "Needs Maintenance" icon. I don't get by Pluto very often and I won't handle Uranus. Would you like to maintain ownership since you established them? I could put a watch on them and be ready to act on your behalf.

I could give you a few containers later when I give you the "Book" (501 C.3.) ;D I also don't need to or want to own them any more. I have been pulling caches back to open new areas and get to a number I can keep track of. I have been keeping caches going but they don't seem to stay stocked up with geo-bling Malcore's Ducky night cache was archived on me but I have not pulled it yet. All that it needs is the middle part and the night cache will be ready to go again. I was thinking of making the middle part out of wood and make it so it can't be removed but that is against the rules. If it's a dead tree, can I drill baby drill? In short, if someone wants that cache, I will help get it going again because I have the special tools if not I will pull it as well. I will not geo-litter so one way or another, I'll see it is taken care of. Thanks everyone. -Ole

Ole, that night cache is way too good to let it become a thing of the past.
It's pretty much in my Anchorage "zone" of caches. I would take over the maint on it if you help me get it back to functional status.
I might be able to help out with a more durable middle part too, I've got a few ideas and almost unlimited manufacturing resources at my disposal.

I could give you a few containers later when I give you the "Book" (501 C.3.) ;D Oh, yah, the book. I've quit worrying about keeping my caches stocked with fresh geobling. Assuming that everyone is trading up or trading even in the spirit of proper caching etiquette, then the cachers that find my caches don't think much of what I thought was cool initial swag, so I've decided to let the caching population dictate the quality/type of swag in the container. Broken McToys are surprisingly popular! I have plenty of birch and spruce logs of all different diameters up to 30" on my lot following the October 10 williwaw. One could take their pick from the yard and craft away. Also, you could visit NorthWes' "Roads Go Ever On" cache and see one skookum ammo can retention system.

Thanks a million - Ole Ole, I was down at Pluto this past wekend as Hobodude told me he couldn't find it and I was there Sunday night about 8pm and couldn't locate it there. I don't get down that way much but if you have a couple over on the Muldoon side that you may want to adopt out let me know. I work second shift so I don't get out much except on the weekends to cache as I have Grandson that I watch everyday and winter cool weather I don't want to drag him out and get him sick. Like Tinman said about the Malcore Night cache I would be more then happy to help on it with Tinman too. Ket me know by PM as I don't log on here often enough.

Okay, Malcore's night cache will live again! We'll have to pick a night to go out and work on it. I will build a new middle part that will stay in place. We have to chack to see that the old markers are still up and that no trees are on the ground.
Thanks everyone - Ole
