Hey there all. This lonely soul will be paying a visit to the Anchorage area to pick up a few caches mid Oct. Just wondering if there is anyone that would be willing to show me the area or could offer up some nice but quick caches ta bag. I will be flying in on the 10th but will have to leave on the 13th I know that daylight at this time of the year will be at a premium so I would like to be able to maximize my time there. I will likely be have bugs and such to drop so I would like to find some that are big enough to leave coins/tbs behind. Thanks all If you have any help, drop me a line through my profile. Hobo dude

Hi Y'all:
Hobodude has expressed an interest in some nightcaching during an e-mail exchange with me.
Anyone out there gearing up to knock off some of them this weekend? If so, sound off here!
Let's treat him nicely, though...no "Lone Post!"

I'm down for a little night caching of course!
There are still a couple on my list I've been saving back.
I might not be checking this page much between now and the weekend though so if you set something up could you please email me?
Thanks

I finally knocked off the "law of the jungle" so technically except for the new one that came out today I did finally get them all. Looks like we're in for a challenge for the latest one though! As for hobodude I am down for a few caches maybe after the event cache on Friday night if your in town by then, best to come by the Pern 25 extra credit event and then go from there, I am sure we'll be going after the new tinman4x and Flyrfn night cache then. emailing me will get me sooner too then here as I don't log on here everyday.

Let's treat him nicely, though...no "Lone Post!" Huh? Lone Post is deeee-lightful this time of year! No bugs! Dark nights! And the cache page's attribute list is quite accurate... althought I did notice angelfire25 described her man-cacher's footware as 'dorky'. If she thinks tinman4x's boots are dorky, I hate to hear what she thinks of my trademark wellington look. Oh well... no accounting for taste, eh? I just don't understand this. People pay *big* money to slog the Everglades (leeches & snakes & spiders... oh my!) but won't slog the Strawberry Bog for free... where the biggest predator is a coyote or fox, and where the ungulates can be heard as they splish splash while running away.

Oh well... no accounting for taste, eh? I'm a bit rusty at my walking on water miracle working, but I should have it down pat by December. At that time of year, it is absolutely a great cache! ;D

I've never done a night cache. I was thinking of trying "Wrong Turn" tonight since I'm so good at making wrong turns! I don't want to end up in the lake, though. I think I need to be accompanied.

I'd be more than happy to tag along with anyone that wants to do "wrong turn" tonight after the Pern 25 event.
It will be interesting to see how well we set it up and what types of problems cachers might have. Anything I learn will help with future night caches.
I hope to see a bunch of you at tonights event.
