Since this forum is *empty*, I'm just giving it a ping to see if any central peninsula area cachers are around here I live in Soldotna... well, at least half the time 5/5/11 F/U - I'm guessing there are no Central Kenai Cachers visiting these forums. We'll have to see what we can do about that...

Hello, I found the forum, wasn't easy but I did it :-) I live in Soldotna am new to geocaching, would like to meet others around here. Welcome! Be sure to watch for the FUNdamentals Education events that will be offered in your neck of the woods in September, October, and November. Attending an event is a great way to meet other cachers. You can get event notices via the GeocacheAlaska! newsletter by joining GeocacheAlaska! www.geocachealaska.org/join_geocachealaska.htmhere.You can also watch for events on the geocaching.com website here. Upcoming events will appear at the top of the list.

Hey, Peninsula cahers, it's great to hear from you.
I like checking these posts a lot. I was just down there for a great picnic event and i really enjoyed the caches in the area. Very nice job.
What are some of your favorites? So I have a list to hunt for on my next visit.
Thank you so much for the help

Left some cool stuff but could not find a few very tough like the one by beamens lol all i got was bug bites we must have searched over there for an hour...,, anyways me and my sweety went out and found the first one. Then we all went out all day with our son and had a great time! Except the bugs. You will see us walking everywhere as we have no car and this is the perfect adventure to get our kids out of the house.. Its a nice break and we just wanted to say thanks! Oh and enjoy the poppers !

I can give you a hint or two about the one by Beemuns. It's the size of the tip of your pinky finger as far back at the base of your fingernail. Glad to have another new cacher in Soldotna. Don't hesitate to ask questions here or on our FB Group (I just accepted your join request a short bit ago). There are several events coming up in Soldotna, so I hope you'll attend. On August 16 at 11AM is a short coffee social at Kaladi Brothers (the one by Trustworthy Hardware) where we will chat about puzzles over a cup of coffee. coord.info/GC5A2P5 The next is a CITO event at the Kenai Municipal Park on August 17 at 2PM. We'll be picking up trash in the park for about an hour or so. There are a couple geocaches in the park, and it's the site of our annual geocaching picnic. coord.info/GC5A2QD Finally, we will have an EduVent on August 21 Thursday evening at 7PM. This is going to be a remote tie in to the primary educational event in Anchorage with a presentation on outdoor safety. coord.info/GC5A999Welcome to the game!
