Come on, come all!
The Interior Alaska GeoAddicts are putting on a series of summer events that will center around hiking, cycling, and paddling as a way to highlight some of the Fairbanks area trails and rivers. The goal is to introduce new cachers to how it all works while also have a good time and doing a little bit of socializing.
The events are posted under the Interior Alaska GeoAddicts cache name but I am the one who is doing the initial organizing to hopefully help kick start a good summer of fun and caching. All others can join in at any time ... just ask.
All ideas are welcome and all of these events are suitable for families, etc except where posted.
Please stay tuned as we are planning to also take on Chena Dome (16 miles with lots of up and down), Angel Rocks to Chena Hot Springs (10 miles), and Granite Tors (~13 miles). The Chena Bike Classic up Chena Hot Springs Rd will also receive a visit as well as some paddling at Chena Lakes (hmm, might just be an underwater cache for the logbook), and an evening slow float down the Chena River.
All other ideas are welcome and we definitely invite all Alaskans to join us if schedules permit.

Might have to get a canoe for an event. In the past I just waited for winter to do island caches.

Last night was another of the summer GeoAddicts event caches. That makes three, we've hiked, biked, and paddled. Next week we get to play a little frisbee golf. Come on out and have some summer time fun!
