This is what I'm preparing to travel with to the lower states: Are you going to attach a snowmachine to the back of the trailer? Many of my company's retirees do that and keep driving south until someone asks what they are towing. At that point, they figure they are far enough away from the cold and snow . No. 30' 6" of trailer is good enough for me. Folks will have enough questions with Mr Tahoe's license plate "GOCACHE" and the trailers plate "TOAD".

You getting a kickback from gc.com for that vanity plate? Oopss...on topic: shot at Chena Lake near A Little Bit of Heaven cache. The FTF was nice, but the rainbow would have been reward enough.

You getting a kickback from gc.com for that vanity plate? No kickback. I prefer the phrase "personalized license plate". Friedrich Nietzsche wrote that "vanity is the fear of appearing original: it is thus a lack of pride, but not necessarily a lack of originality

That's NOT ICLight38 I see at the end of the Tunnel... (taken about 600 feet from that cache...) I backed out of the tunnel - she followed me - closer - and I decided it was a worthy sign I was to go to Olrerun's VERY BIG Cache first... good thing, as it turned out!

I like this one of omgcrew... He's experiencing (simultaneously) skip and saltation at Kincaid Park's Eolian Landscape - Cliff Head Dune Earthcache. That's a tough cacher! Have YOU visited Anchorage's active dune complex at Kincaid Park?

The picture I'm really wanting to see is the "Welcome to Alaska" sign at the airport.

This just has a cool look to it, sort of the everyman of geocaching, it could even be made into a logo or graphic for the sport. With Ole's permission i may pursue that, scobey here is some of the artsy fartsy stuff you where looking for. I'll post it when I have it complete.

Go for it.... and as everyone can tell, that is Anchorage in the distance. We had to use the GPS to find our trail off the mountain; we could not see 20'. And yes, that is an ammo can in my back pack that heavy #$%^&*....

While perusing cache hides I've yet to do in the Chugach I came across these: Here's a classic Chugach Mtns scene (from an Oleruns/Ladybug Kids foray) Yes - that's MTboy... in yet another classic Chugach Mtns scene!

The light wasn't that great but hey, I was there to cache not take pictures. This was up on The Man's Survival Guide for Alaska cache. I think I was FTF but I may never know there was a crazy log in the book. There are a couple more on that page and the other cache that posted - wish you were there! And thanks to OMGCrew, LBK and Frostg1ant for the phone calls! They also let me know the new cache posted. Again there were logs in that one as well... huh?

My grandsons went along for much of my hunting along the Trail of the Blue Goose. Now that they have their own caching accounts we've been nibbling away at hides in Conner Lake Dog Park. Here's a couple of pictures of Commander CacheAK from last weekend's walks. I will note that the Tomato was found by CDR CacheAK all by his lonesome. I'd given up in the dark spruce forest, where every time I turned around I was in danger of poking my eyes out.... Looking forward to more caching photos in the presence of CDR CacheAK & Captain Americache!
