April 19 and 20 are the gc.com CITO dates. We have traditionally done this at Kincaid Park.
Anyone want to host this??

Anyone want to host this?? I would like to throw my hat into the ring as an organizer for a CITO event for CITO day. I would like to cleanup Kincaid Park again this year, but I think the Jodphur side is in dire need of attention as I have come across some serious trash over there (and not in in the motocross park, but in the woods around the trails). Please send me contacts for who I need to get in touch with to make this a reality. I am still interested in hosting but do not have the contacts needed.

I'll share them with you too... except... I need your email address, FrostG1ant!(I can't believe my Blackberry doesn't have you in it... what an oversight - I apologize!) Email me at wskinner@ak.net, please... Yup - there's a new rec planner at Kincaid with whom I've been speaking - just signed up the loosely-confederated GeocacheAlaska geo-mob as trainers for the Spring Session's 'Geocache Class at Kincaid Park' - to be held over two Saturdays in June (OK - here's the skinny - Classroom & first field session from 10am to noon June 7th, with a second two-hour field session for follow-up on June 14th). I'll be posting a new thread fairly soon to sign up individuals to act as both 'field assistants' and as workshop session speakers - I want more 'voices' to be heard (i.e. - not all me talking... hint hint...). More to follow on that, but... if anyone's interested in being the lead host person for the event (and would like to chalk up an event smilie on your 'owned' page), let me know as well. I have boilerplate event page data for this, and have a training syllabus that the Parks folks like (which will be fine-tuned once again - specifically, in land use ethics). And... if there's anyone out there who'd like to host a CITO event in a different city park on a different day (yes - you can do a CITO event anytime!) let me know and I'll privately link you to the park's managing person for that area, as well as the volunteer coordinator. I don't really want to post a list as these folks change frequently... but I meet 'em all at my work & have contact info I can pass along.

It looks like there will be two CITO Events during the GroundSpeak 6th Annual CITO Days (April 19 & 20). With all the caches in Kincaid Park this will be a great time to come out, clean up the park, and clean out the park with all your favorite cache-mates. I hope to see you at the 2008 Spring CITO Events. Watch your local cache listings for more information soon.
