Is anyone interested in going after The Castle Table (GCXKYB) on Saturday? There is a group of us planning to grab this scenic unfound wonder. It should be a great trip. Weather permitting it will offer up some incredible photo ops and god times on the trails with good folks. It is a 12 round trip hike and around 3000' elevation gain, but there is a dinner table waiting at the summit for our picnic. Any takers?

I may be interested. I'll let you know by Friday. (I might be in Seward this weekend.)
I wasn't going to go but, well, you just can't say no to god times.

After talking with FrostG1ant at the fair he talked me into going, so I will be there. I have been wanting to do this one sence it first came out, just didn't want to try by my self. Sounds like it will be a blast.

I am going to King Mountain campground tomorrow afternoon and setting up camp for the weekend. Anyone who would like to join us let me know and we can get a camp site reserved for you. If you are interested in coming up on Saturday morning, meet us at the King Mountain campground at 9:00am sharp and we will head out from there. You can email me at frostgiant.geo@gmail.com if you are interested in going. I will be leaving town around 3:00pm Thursday 8/30/2007. It should be a great trip and the weather looks to be in our favor.

Holy Moly, was that a CLIMB. My calves have spent the day asking me why I hate them so much and if their sin was that bad couldn't I have just amputated them, instead. What a day - and somehow it was all completely worth it. We had a lovely party, delicious food packed up by FrostG1ant (who is most assuredly suffering for it today) and were able to sign the logbook "FLAMO" - FrostG1ant, Lemurlad, Antonia, Malcore and OMGCrew. I'm waiting for either FrostG1ant or Malcore to sign the on-line logbook as FTF - after all, it was FrostG1ant's idea and Malcore actually spotted the cache first (shock!). I think I was too dizzy with physical exertion - my hand actually the touched the rock that was hiding the cache but I didn't spot the thing. Anyway, thanks for the invitation! That was awesome. From now on my motto is snatched (with some variation) from Homer, "You know me, Marge - I like my beer cold, my TV loud and my geocachers FLAMO!" Go team FLAMO!

Thanks everyone for coming along, it was a great trip and I hope to do another soon. This was quite the hike, but a very awesome journey. Scratch from the Journal of the Great Unfound. Here's to the next and to good friends. Thanks for joining me for my milestone, it was better than I could hope for.

Greg did the majority of the way. Then they split up some. I was quite a ways up from them or else I would have taken some too.

The sad part is we thought we would meet you coming down the mountain as we were going up.

Boy that is only the 2nd time I have looked at the national forums. Both times it was an Alaskan who was on the wrong side of popular GC opinion. Malcore has more FTFs than he has finds anyway ;D Sorry for the dig. When they changed their posting times to 3:00am it took a lot away from the FTF hunt here at least for me. It would be awesome if they (geocaching.com) could post them at say 6:00pm that would give a lot more people a shot. If everyone knew they were going to post at the same time every day, then look out! That would be fun! I love it when groups of people show up all looking, that's a blast.
He should try streaking, if he wants to do something hard. Day #38 for me and 56 out of the last 57 days. Thanks again to all those who put out caches!
