Sounds like we lost some of our folks to other venues on Saturday. Hopefully there will be some interest from the Anchorage crowd at the highway event to at least make the short trip down to the Pass for the leap frog CITO.
How many do we have for the campout at Russian River on Saturday night? So far I'm seeing myself, Mac, Cathy, and Seth. Hopefully we'll get a handful of the Anchorage regulars, most of whom don't come into these forums.
I'll be rolling out Event listings pretty quick (should be pushing to publish tomorrow).
Event 1 - Adopt-A-Highway CITO #3 in Girdwood at 9:45am on Saturday October 5th Event 2 - Turnagain Pass Leap Frog CITO starting at 1pm on Saturday October 5th Event 3 - Russian River Camping Social starting at 6pm on Saturday October 5th Event 4 - Russian River Campground CITO starting at 11am on Sunday October 6th
Looking to conclude the Sunday CITO with dinner at Sacketts (details pending). Probably will not have a formal event listing associated with that as it would be borderline on stat-padding, IMHO. Though I'm considering a RR campground breakfast social event on Sunday morning (maybe we can get LBK to show up with his dutch oven?).

I'll be rolling out Event listings pretty quick (should be pushing to publish tomorrow). Rumor has it Greatland Reviewer will be off the grid through Monday or Tuesday night. If I'm there, I'll bring the oven. Need to get back into practice with that chunk of iron.

Scott I may not get a notification for the events when they publish...outside my radius! Would you let us know here when they publish please? Thanks

I plan to be at the RR camp out on Saturday pm and will participate in Sunday AM events also. Me and the wife, too. I hope! Me, three! I can't bring the kiddos to the Girdwood pickup, so we may join up for the Turnagain Pass Leapfrog. That's the youngest's nap time, though - and trust me, y'all want her to have her nap!- and a lot of car time just to come right back. So....we may just make it to the campout that night and then the Sunday activities. We'll probably give late go/no-go notice, depending on how tired we are after having company (in town through Sept 30) and how much travel we do that last weekend in Sept. All my babble aside, I'm looking forward to this!

The reviewer is off grid until tomorrow, but I have listings being worked up. When they publish, the first event in Girdwood will be GC4NFGX. So just check that link every once in awhile until it publishes. I'll have all the events linked together from each page like I did with the spring series.

Blowin' up? Time for a new phone then. Maybe one with a touchscreen!

Boo... hiss... I HATE touchscreens. They are the devil. I won't even upgrade my ancient BlackBerry to one of the new releases, because they went to the silly touchscreen.
When I'm forced to get one of these new dumb phones, I'll most likely go to one of the Samsung devices. Ya'll can keep those huge ifony bricks.

519 - hoping to see you that weekend, too! Maybe we caravan along with NS from the Tiglax to the campout. I'm sure we can do it without causing too much havoc along the way. Right? :-)

Speaking of making things... I think we'll need to have an official Hobo planning meeting around the campfire Saturday night to discuss next summer. We're already looking at the prospect of 4 separate event weekends on the KP starting with a Hobo CITO weekend around Memorial Day, the Picnic in July, this Campout event around Labor Day (we need to give it a catchy name), and then possibly a final Hobo CITO weekend to end the season. I think we could probably centralize a theme between these currently separate ideas and then look at the potential for creating some trackable bling to go with it. The picnic bling did fairly well this summer. I can see a generic "Hobo" styled item that could even be left undated so it goes along with any of the Hobo CITO events. If this campout weekend turns into as big a deal as it has the potential for, that could get its own custom bling issued. I bet we can bar napkin some good ideas around the campfire.

Dang it!!! Shouldn't have said anything about touch screens. My nearly ancient BlackBerry has been gradually developing "issues" and now the trackball is getting pretty close to non-functional. Was thinking about biting the bullet and upgrading to a new BlackBerry, but guess what? GCI has just officially dropped BlackBerry entirely from their lineup. Couple that with the folks who make the only app that I actually use dropping BB support last month and I'm being railroaded into having to decide whether to go Android or Windows 8 and via an HTC, Samsung, or Sony. Why can't they make these things any smaller? Please don't make me get an ifone...

Dang it!!! Shouldn't have said anything about touch screens. I know what you mean...I really like the tactile feel of the Blackberry keyboard, though I don't like the browser at all. When I travel with my family, I use my Blackberry for text and e-mail and my wife's Samsung for browsing. I can type at only half the speed on a touch screen as I can on a 'berry.
