We have a flash mob scheduled for every month this year, along with the EDUEvents...plus other get togethers... Let me know if you have an idea or want to hold something so we can get it on the webpage and facebook calendars! Thanks firemanak

On our new website, we have an event page that is kept current. (or so I try to)... So if you go to alaskageocachers.org/events/, you will see upcoming events in the interior, and can add one if you are having one too.. Tony

I really need to do a run north this summer. My farthest north cache is far short of Fairbanks.

My farthest north cache fell short of the Arctic Circle. I need to make a run up the Dalton sometime and fix that. I only have a handful of finds in Fairbanks that have been collected on brief work-related trips through the area. I did manage to find just about everything within a reasonable distance of the highway in the DGT triangle (Delta-Glenn-Tok) a couple summers ago. But, I have not done a dedicated Parks route cache run. So maybe that's the trip I should plan for this summer. So many caches; so little time.

I keep hoping to snag an Alaska Airlines special into Barrow. That would be a dramatic slam-dunk on a 'northernmost' cache find. Of course, I'd love to go in the summer so I could hire me a 4-wheeler to run up the gravel spit and get a northernmost benchmark find too...

I'm going to be up there for a convention the weekend before Memorial Day. I'm looking forward to moving my 'northernmost' beyond Palmer. :-)

I looked at my calendar again, and it appears it *will* be Memorial Day weekend that we'll be up there (23rd-27th). I'll keep an eye on the events page. I'd love to be able to attend a geocaching event there...even if it means sneaking away from my convention for a few minutes.

Can't wait to nab some of the 4 caches or so around town there, as well as a benchmark or two... hope it's not subzero or too windy!
